« on: November 11, 2007, 12:44:00 PM »
My daughter is having depression problems from a broken relationship. She is having trouble coping with this situation, and has developed an eating disorder. She has taken the first steps by seeing a therapist and her mother and i believe that she is improving but she is away at college and only see her every few weeks. My wife is worn down as am i with worry, but she is 22 yrs old and all we can do is be supportive and pray that the good lord will see her through this trying time.I only wish she would come home so that we could take care of her but she is desperate for her independance.Any and all prayers thank you

Heavenly Father, I thank you for your open ears and arms. I thank you for your love, grace, and Holy Spirit which guides us. I thank you for your Son, who gave his life for us to be with you. Thank you for being available and thank you for prayer.

Hear me Father and watch over Jim's daughter. Protect her Lord, with your Angels, and place your healing hands upon her, lifting the depression with your love and peace. Place your Godly people in her presence and in her relationships. Take this eating disorder away, and give her wisdom, and knowledge in this battle.

I also ask that you lift up Jim and his wife, assuring them you are in control and you have a firm grasp on this problem. Give them peace, rest, and insight to handle this situation, not for their glory, but yours.

In Jesus name I claim, and ask these things, Amen.

Jimbob.  I too suffer from depression.  Have for 9 years or so.  Mine was brought on from constant medical issues.  But please let your daughter know that she is not alone.  There are alot of us out there and believe me, there is hope.  As long as she know that she has an extended family like here on tradgang, she will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

Great news, Jim... But lets not let down our prayer wall, guys. Depression works in odd ways at times, until the Holy spirit truly removes the dark clouds from the heart that keep His power from those afflicted.

Lord, continue to hear our prayers for healing for this lovely young woman. Provide her with clear sight of your Love for her and her purpose here on this blue marble. Bring her through this time with compassion, insight and devotion to your Holy Will.
