Tendonitis update
« on: December 18, 2007, 08:30:00 PM »
Well, my week long steroid dosage was successful in that it reduced the inflamation and I no longer have any pain in my elbow.  What remains is tightness and soreness in my forearm muscles.  I haven't so much as pulled the string on a bow for 2 weeks now.

Tomorrow I'm going to see my PT dude who has whipped me back into shape multiple times (herniated discs, torn meniscus).  So I'll do what he tells me, stay off the bows until he says okay, then we'll work back into it.

It still sucks.  I have this new Kanati that only got shot about 1/2 dozen times before this all happened.  Then, Billy Dunn called me tonight and my Zipper limbs are finished.  So I'm gonna drive out to his shop Sat morning and pick them up.  Then bring them home, mount them onto my riser and........not shoot it.  Dammitt..

Send that Kanati to me for a few weeks so I can get ready for mine.  No since in letting a fine bow sit around.  I hope you feel better soon.  I hate injuries!

I hear ya, been fighting it for a month or two now.  Somedays I can't hardly lift a glass of water.  If I hit the Ibuprofin hard I can keep it in check, but non-stop Ibuprofin can be hard on the liver.

Always figured you were tough... now I see you're smart, too!

Sorry to hear you are having this trouble, but it sounds like you are going about recovering in the wisest possible way.

Good luck.  Hope it is all a distant memory by the time I see you at Cloverdale!

I am sorry you are injured.  Hope all goes well in recovery and that you can get back to shooting soon.
