Would covet your prayers
« on: January 08, 2008, 08:05:00 AM »
Hey Gang,
We have mixed emotions today as we leave to go to Kentucky to burry my father in-law.  He was a strong believer and he has finally got his wish to be with the King of glory.  He suffered terrible the last 4 months of his life on this earth and that drained the whole family as well.  My prayer request is for safe travel of course, but more importantly that my wife’s family well not only be open to hearing the gospel but be receptive to the living word.  My wife already has had several opportunities to witness to her brothers and sisters through his sickness, so good seed has been sown, lets pray it has been planted in good soil and the spoken word will bring the rain for growth!  Thank you all for your prayers and kindness!
John 8:36

Amen Prayers sent.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Prayers for continued perseverance on your part collectively...with your wife. His Will to be done in His timing. Sewn seeds come in His harvest time, not ours. Peace and faith, safety and charity to go with you on your travels to and fro.

My most sincere condolences to your family and prayers sent from Nova Scotia.
A bad day of hunting is still far better than a good day at work.

Thanks guys for all your prayers as they where ALL answered! I know this might sound strange but it was the best funeral I have ever been to. People where moved to get right with God and my wife and I had several oppurtunities to share the gospel as well as prayer for an injured youngman.  God was so good to us and His people!

Thanks again for all your prayers, you guy's/gal's are the best!

Bless you and your wife... You truly set the bar higher for the rest of us, brother.

Continued blessings on your own ministry to others through witnessing and for those who struggle with the loss and connection to our Lord and savior.
