Passing of a good bow hunter and greater man!
« on: February 19, 2008, 10:32:00 AM »
I would really appreciate your prayers for my Aunt as last night my Uncle and mentor went to meet his Lord.  He was 80 years old and lived a good Christian life.  He is the person that got me into archery and encouraged me to stay in it.  He was a traditionalist in the purest sense, as not only did he make his own bows and arrows as well as tied all his flies, he used the entire animal from meat to skin.  He was a good archer and hunter but he was a greater man!  He will be truly missed by his family and friends. God Bless and Thanks for all your prayers!

Anointed, my sympathy and prayers sent.  I lost my uncle this year and it still hurts.  He sounds like he was a wonderful uncle.  What a blessing he must have been to everyone in his life.  Prayers for your aunt sent.

AA,

No finer testement could be laid upon another as you've shared for your Uncle.

May the peace that passes all understanding be with all of you who loved and miss him, especially his loving wife.

Keep the Son in your eyes!

God bless all of you for your love and compassion! We leave tomorrow morning for Missouri for the funeral. Although my aunt and uncle are strong Christians there two sons have chose other paths.  It is my hope and prayer to share the only path with them. I have in the past, but the ground might be tilled up enough that the seed my take root!

Again, thank you all for your love and prayers!

AA,

I'm learning more each passing month and year to "Live it" more and tell it less.

Seems folks watch us "believers" like a Hawk and our behavior is more a selling point to encourage following Him than all the scripture we can spout or encouragement we throw at them.

Sure is easier (for me) to talk to people than to live all I profess...  :(

Lord, give me strength to realize how many watch. Help us to know that "what we do sometimes speaks so loudly, folks can't hear our words."  Give us Your peace to be a shinning example of the Joy you wait to fill us up in our daily lives. An area I fall so short in witness and ask you to fill my heart with Your light, that I may reflect your Love to others.

Thanks All!!

The trip down we had terrible weather, matter of fact we got to Bloomington Illionis when my Aunt called and told us not to come becuase they where having the worse ice strom of the year just south of St Louis.  So I pulled the car over and my wife, sister and I started to pray. After just a few minutes I felt as the Lord say to my spirit, I have never known you to run from a fight before!

With that said I looked at my wife and said we are going on, my sister asked do you have peace from God and all I could tell her is I believe so! But I know it was all the prayers of family and friends like you all that cleared the path and we had no incidents down or back.

The pastor shared an awesome plan of salvation and my wife and I got to speak life into our family!  God is so Good! Again, Thanks Trad Gang family!

AA,

You two, you and the Mrs. were on the front lines doing the courageous things. Our prayers were back up, but your Faith is what made you safe and sound. neat, neat story, bud. Thanks for sharing it and sharing the blessings that befell you all on your trip and at the funeral!

Thank you, Lord, for watching over our friends, your servants.
