I feel your pain jean-paul and is a big issue so do not feel any lesser for posting...even though they are pets, they are family. I still miss my norwegian who was close to yours in age when we had to make that decision over a year and a half ago. Praying for your comfort at this time of loss.

Your issue is important to God. Prayers sent

Peace, Brother...many come here seeking solace for loss of faithful companions of the animal kingdom.

Grief is a process..not an event, so don't expect it to ease overnight...and for all that dog gave to you, it should and will hurt...that is a righteous thing. Embrace the pain... make it your friend... tie it to all the memories and allow the tears to wash you clean.
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

No request is too small. Prayers are sent. I lost one of mine a few months ago.

They are definetely family.  Heck, I like my dogs more than I like most people. Faithful companions that love you unconditionally...
