Young couple in trouble
« on: June 11, 2008, 01:19:00 PM »
I wish to ask for your prayers for a young family in some deep trouble.

I only know the wife casually through her role in a professional office. At the time I met her, her hubby was an out of work music teacher.

He got a job.  Teaching High School in a tough area. I don't know & haven't followed the news, but apparently he got tangled up with one of the girls there.

I do not of innocence or guilt..just that the DA is offering a quick fix deal.

Mine/ours is not to judge, but it's so easy to rush in without knowing and wonder.

all I know is that neither of the couple have been believers, but she's chosen to stick it out with this man, and they have two young children.

He is looking at jail time on an offer to plea bargain or big time if he goes to court and loses.

God's used this tragic situation to bring them to church... they are working on the relationship and the woman is so full of questions.

It was amazing thinking how recently I'd missed a chance to witness in a situation, and then in corresponding with this office, I recalled the guy finding work and inquired...which opened the floodgates... she poured out her questions about God and prayer and how do you know what's His will...

Pray with me that people will rise up to minister to them and bring them closer to God. I learned that they're attending church and linking with people of faith to help them grow in knowlege and hopefully, to feel God's love amidst this.

I don't even know their full names, but God does. Next Wednesday is a decision day whether to take a plea or fight in court.

God's will be done...

Lord in your Mercy, use this ugly situation to bring these young people to the foot of the cross, to come to know you, love you and rely on you for all the answers. amen.

Thanks Doc for your heart! My limited and minuet understanding of the Fathers' grace for His kids is this.  I know His grace, mercy and love is way more sufficent for any thing our sins or conditions can find or take us to.

Glory to God for this guys wifes heart and the willingness for the church to come alongside him! May his repentance restore his heart to the Father to his wife's and to the people he hurt!

For I know that just one tiny drop of blood from the King of all Kings is enough to heal all things!

Like I said, guilt or innocence was not mentioned in the exchange and it mattered not to me in witnessing to her of God's love and restorative power.

I guess many of us wonder if we said "enough" or the "right things" when called on to witness out of the blue... I never heard another word.

It was like a neon sign flashing to stop, tuck and witness...cause there was a fire burning--  to have someone in a professional office reach out to a mere client that way.

Thanks for the prayers.  God's forgiveness doesn't mean the temporal world won't kick ya hard... and even if he's innocent, he's going to have a hard time proving it in today's society.

I just pray that God shows His will to them on the DA's offer and then guides them through the next years and beyond... So sad...  :(

No new news...Wednesday I recall, was the day they either take the "deal" or fight...and possibly go 10 years vs. 5.

Prayers ramped up for discernment nad His Will for this couple come Wednesday's hearing.

Big day was yesterday..not sure if the gal will be at work...or if I'll hear from her.

Thanks for the prayers, one and all. I don't know these folks personally, but when this young woman, of a professional encounter, poured out her situation and her struggles to come to know God and rely on Him in prayer..it tore my heart.

We never know when we might be called on to witness to God's glory and help another along the path...

Lord, in your Mercy.

You did what you could, Doc, as you so often do. Bless you for your concerne for your fellow man, and may the results stretch to help this couple in the tough times to follow.
