Help
« on: September 03, 2008, 12:38:00 AM »
This is difficult for me to confess. I have never had in my life thoughts as dark as I am having now. I am having visions of killing the people whom have wronged me and anyone else that gets in the way(always in horrid bloody ways involving simple, but brutal weapons in a barbaric manner) and then charging into a hail of police bullets to end it. This evil vision has gripped me and I can't shed it. I have not acted on it of coarse. I feel so far from God. I know he is there but; I feel unforgivable and alone. I have never felt so cold bloodedly angry in my life. Nor have I ever felt anger so deeply in my gut. What scars me most is that it isn't a hot blood boiling anger it's cold as a grave in Winter. That is why I am so afraid of myself,  hot rage cools with time. Cold anger can last a lifetime. I've never hated anyone before and this is hatred beyond reason and brutal in it's desire. I can't bring myself to tell people at my church in fact I can't get myself to even go to church lately. For the first time in my life as a believer I am frightened I will give up my salvation.I am not sleeping for worry and anger. I need this foul spirit's grip on me broken. I know your prayers can help. Please pray.

Jesus C2 needs your reality check. Cover and protect him with Your grace and mercy.

Tears flow down my face, reading your note, Curtiss.

I've been there as many here might have at one time or another...alone in the desert, filled with rage and anger and lashing out at nothing in particular and focusing all our pain, fear, rejection, on the latest perpetrator.

I keep asking God for magical words to share with you, but He is silent.

All I can think to share is that you took a critical first step in sharing all this with us...confessing your darkness.

Perhaps now, now you need to go find a quiet place in the woods, fall to your knees and cry out as our bible fathers have done... rant, rave, cuss, whatever it takes to break that barrier. God has big shoulders. He knows your heart. He knows your rage and fear. He can take it. Let it out to HIM, not just us. Stomp, kick, scream, whatever it takes till you end up face down on the ground in tears,  as I am in tears reading this and feeling your depth of pain...

Surrender yourself once again totally to him, confess that you are at a point where you just can't go on anymore... that you need the Holy Spirit to take over and minister to you for you are at the end of your wits and will.

We will keep vigil with you and pray mightily for your ability to Let Go--Let God. you've done what you can and you've met the enemy...and he is you. God is the only true answer.  You don't need to "feel" His presence, you just need to confess your rage and fear and aloneness. Faith is believing what you can't prove (or feel).

*****
Forgive me,Lord, for all those times when I turn away, or give in to momentary weakness and choose the path of indulgence. Please hear this rusty, broken vessel as we ask for help for our friend.

You know I don't like to offer up prayers publicly so please accept this petition in the humility it is offered. I have felt what our brother Curtiss feels, so lost, forlorn, odd stacked against me, fearing above all else that my value is zero and I can't go on...that my best efforts mean nothing. It's hard to confess that for others to read, but you already know.

But, Jesus, You've helped me come to understand that indeed, I CAN NOT do anything of value outside of you. You've brought me to my knees so many times, only to see my rally myself and drag myself up by my bootstraps, as I was taught to do. How sad that must have made you all those years, to see me so close to breaking through to rely only on you, and then see me rally to rely on myself, beliving that that best place to "find a helping hand is at the end of my own arm", or "God helps him that helps himself".

Those were false teachings, Lord.  It prevented me from truly coming to terms with my own impotence and inability to 'get it right.'

We beseach you to reach into Curtiss, right now, Lord, and make him see that YOU are indeed, standing at the Gate, waiting to be let in. Help him to see your power, love, and total acceptance of him as he is right now, broken, angry, fearfilled and at wits end.

We ask this, knowing that You alone are our true salvation and only in submission can we know your true power and full measure of grace.

Bring healing and peace to Curtiss and his family. Show him your true path for his life.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Curtis my brother, I second Graybeard's advise you need to find someone near by ASAP.  This is NOT a time to be a lone ranger, if you have no one at your church you can trust then go to a different town and different church and find a men's accountability group.  But PLEASE do not isolate yourself from God's family.

God is NOT mad at you nor does HE ever leave you, it is always us who strain the relation ship with our Father.  But you can NOT do anything bad enough to cause him to leave or forsake you or even dislike you, all He see's when He looks at you is Jesus!

Jesus said if I set you free you ARE free in deed! Jesus also said IT IS FINISHED! His work on that cross covered anything and everything Curtis will and could do. Now it is up to you to believe and accept it. He went to the cross not just to save you from burning in hell, but to set you free right now!

The word says draw near to HIM and He will draw near to you. It's our actions to Him first that causes Father to come running to us. As hard as it is to do you need to find someone to help you walk through this time. You might even have to cross denominational boundaries, but PLEASE get hooked up with some good brothers.

As Doc said we will be lifiting you up in prayer, just know that God created you in His image to be an overcomer in this life and the next!

We love you Bro, keep fighting the good fight and know that His grace is sufficent!
John 8:36
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Curtis,
I too would encourage you to seek the council of some folks who would love you and see you through this time. Personal contact and accountability just can't be replaced. I will pray for you and that the Lord would intercede in spectacular way. I will pray that the Lord would bring a person or persons into your life to minister and lift you up....John

I took all your advice. I talked with some of my cousins and my aunts and my best friend out in California. I've let go of  my anger and forgiven those that I felt wronged me. I thank you for your prayers, your advice and guidence. I'm still troubled but I no longer feel I may act on my thoughts of bloodshed. I'm praying everyday and will force myself to go to church this Sunday, if I have to. I have to let go and let God stir the ship from now on. Confess I have been willfull, even to the point of disobedience. He is Lord and I must submit to his lordship. May God richly bless you all, thanks again.

C2 I have fought the same demon that now is tormenting you. I don't know who or how you were wronged but you mentioned you were a believer so you know that vengence is mine saith the Lord. I will pray for you and ask that you remember to not necessarily tell the Lord how big the storms are in your life because he already knows. Try telling the storms how big your Lord is. God grant you peace soon.

Thank You, Jesus!

Curtiss, that's the brother in Christ I know and we all love!  :)

You know I know how it feels to be again out of work..it undermines everything we believe is worthwhile about us as men. That is the devil working his magic.

Rebuke him aloud in the Name of Jesus! I've found that works amazingly well... simple things sometimes are the most powerfilled!

the darkness is in us..we are conceived in sin. The light of Truth comes into us by submission. You're on the road to recovery once again, My Friend.

Keep in touch and keep reaching out...

God will do the rest!

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Curtis,

Holding you to your word through prayer this morning.

May the Lord shine his blessings upon you today. May the devil be rebuked from keeping you away from your Brothers and Sisters in Christ today. May the Lord provide you energy, desire, determination, and guidance from the Holy Spirit to worship him among other Believers, and in your own temple, mind, and spirit.

May you find peace, and the ease to release the thoughts of action on the anger you feel, as His love and gentle hands comfort you in this situation.

In Jesus name I pray, and claim these things, Amen.

Love you Brother, God Bless!!!!
