Prayers for job search
« on: January 13, 2009, 06:42:00 PM »
Hey Gang,
I have been out of work for a few months and have been hitting walls trying to find a new job. It's really starting to drain on me. If you guys could say a couple prayers for me I would really appreciate it.  God bless, Matt

Patience and perseverance leads to God based Hope... I'm reading in a text by Gary Thomas, entitled, "Authentic Faith."

Not for the feint of heart.

There are numbers of us here that have had one trial after another with employment. It might get worse before better.

fight that temptation to evaluate your own self worth by the job.  It's a deadly trap!

Sometimes, God allows us to wait to teach us that suffering isn't all bad...and can lead to a greater insight that He is in charge and our efforts, without His purpose and direction, can be for naught.

I keep trying to use this time for learning and growth...but it does get difficult.

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Prayers sent from Georgia on your job search.

Thanks guys.  I just had a phone interview that went well.  For this and all things I pray that not my will, but His will be done.  Lord willing, it will happen.  God bless, Matt

Don't sit around and let things happen to you. Instead get busy and start making things happen FOR you. Get involved!

Thanks all for the prayers and for checking on me, Dave.  Still no job.  Really getting depressing...I must have sent out 50 resumes and cover letters by now.  I end up too qualified for some(won't hire me knowing I'll leave if I find something better) and not quite qualified for others.  Thanks for the prayers, fellas.  I know God's will is best for me, even if I don't understand it at the moment.  Prayers for you all.  God bless, Matt

Matt prayer sent for you and all the others that are searching. I can
not understand some one not hiring you for being over qualified if your willing for work for their salary. Thing will hopefully turn around for this country and get every one back to work.
I always hit where I'm aiming, but rarely where I'm looking.
