Larry,
I sent a rather long PM to you.
This is absolutely childs play for the Lord. Rastaman has it right, do not speak death, you do not have anything, do not claim it, you are being attacked, speak only positive words (hard I know, but remember, we hold life and death in our words, don't make yourself a profit in a bad way). And don't pray wimpy prayers such as, oh Father if it is your will please heal me....Screw that, He is your Father, would you wish anything bad happen to your son? No, neither does He.
Something like, Father God I boldy ask for healing for it is written "by your stripes we are healed" Lord you said if you ask you shall receive..and the one where most people fail, be it done to you according to your faith. If you do not believe, or have faith, you will not be healed by the Lord.

Prayers for God's perfect will for you Larry. Jesus said "The thief comes to rob, kill, and destroy. But I have come to give you life and to give it to you abundantly" My step-father taught me that this isn't heaven so don't expect perfection. That's why chit happens to good people.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

thank you all very much.i found out today that its p.a.d. and with any luck if i don't go up to high in elevation it may or may not get worse.every time i go up above 5000 ft my right leg gets swollen and very inflamed,it even started cracking once my left leg does it too but not nearly as severe.so i guess i'll be needing your prayers and am very thankful for them.ben is the guy who won the hunt i gave away a while back.eaglecap wilderness area archery elk hunt.i remember a time i was admitted into the hospital in salem oregon and the doctor had scheduled me for amputation the next morning.my mother in law came to the hospital and held my hands and prayed for me.the next morning the doc came in to check my leg and wheel me to surgery if it wasn't a lot better.my leg was normal in color and not swollen.i cried tears of joy that just wouldnt stop........larry

PAD is nothing to laugh at!

Neither is the advice given there that our Lord is so much bigger than any problem.

I don't always claim all that I should or could for myself. Curtis nailed it in that we are human and depression and despair are normal.

But our Faith can overcome the normal. Our God can do wonders. Sometimes He doesn't choose to heal all things, but as also stated, opens other doors so much more fulfilling we'd never have seen without the trial.

I can't tell you how often a different doctor has an entirely different view of an ailment and opens new avenues of therapy. Don't quit with one when it's this life altering! Try several. Different regions.

Attack back! Don't let satan take over your love of God's wilderness... fight what you can, accept what you can't and let God show you the difference.

All He asks is that you ask...and believe in what's not able to be proven in man's world.

Keep the Son in your eyes!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Hey Larry, I know you will become an expert soon enough but I found this site.

 http://www.padcoalition.org/about-pad/what-is-pad/

Just wanted you to see it because on the left hand side of the site you'll see -RESOURCES-
Perhaps it'll help you out a bit.

Keep to the flatlands, take yer medicine and you'll be hunting for many more years to come.

Regards
David

Larry glad to hear some news. Although not the best of ailments not the worst either. Hang in there, learn all you can, and continue to enjoy your hunts. God bless!

Larry Glad to hear there is hope. Prayers answered..

AS far as low elivation elk hunting goes. There are several areas that I am more than happy to show you and your friend.

Live up in Orting About two hours north of you. Two areas down by you and not an hour and a half from you.

Let me know and we will get this to work.

Have you on the prayer list and will keep it there....

Later........Buzz

Larry,
I have no personal experience to offer you with regard to what you are facing at the moment, but do know that life seems to always include these detours along the way. Seeing the number of friends that you have here hopefully is a help for you. My wife and I are about a year away from getting back to the NW, so we will be just up the road from you in Stevenson, drop me a line if you ever feel like trading stories or just shooting the breeze, best to you.
Regard’s,
Jim
