need to ask for prayers for son
« on: March 30, 2009, 06:08:00 PM »
Don't know if this is proper, but I need to ask for help with prayers for my son to graduate.
He was hired by a very well known private college as their web developer a year and a half ago. One of the stipulations to his hiring was he has to finish his degree.
He is now in need of 1 algebra class to graduate, this is his third time taking the class. He just can't seem to get through this class! He has 1 month to go and it is all I can do to get him to hang in there. All he does is work and study for this class! I'm really worried he will just give up.
School will not allow him to take the class a 4th time. He's worried he will lose his job if he can't get through this time.
I keep telling him to study hard and pray and things will work out for the best.
But there is so much at stake I'm afraid he is giving up. Another BIG test at 6:30 tonight.   :(

Praying for your son to have the knowledge stick in his head.  Also praying for his perseverance through this hurdle.

Amen. Prayers for peace of mind, confidence, and the wisdom to know Who to as for help.
BTW has he asked if the teacher had someone available to tutor him?
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

A private tutor might help. Seriously. They found the best teachers weren't the ones it came easily to, but the ones who struggled.

I had similar problems till someone introduced me to a series of workbooks that made it so easy to understand... I finally got it. That was 30 years ago...but something like that has to be out there if beating his brains out in traditional classes isn't working...try something different.

Prayers for discernment and seeking alternative insights and resources!
