Prayers for aging Uncle
« on: June 30, 2009, 10:43:00 AM »
Got word Saturday that my dad's last remaining immediately family member, his "baby sister" died unexpectedly in her heart doctor's office of a heart attack. She just turned 80. Dad's 87.

My uncle is dying slowly from terminal cancer. I ask for prayers for him as he hinted at suicide when he nearly lost his wife some 18 years ago when she first had a heart attack.  I fear for his will and resolve now that his life partner has preceeded him.

I ask for prayers for the kids and grandkids who will miss this woman who had way too much life yet to live in her...

I ask for prayers for my Dad as we bury his last family of origin member. We buried his bride of 59 years, my mom, just 4 years ago.

We all know death is inevitable, yet how often we wish we'd done just one thing more when someone is gone...   :(

Thanks for prayers for the Bob Hurst family. I know without a doubt, we'll see Laverne again in another place.

Goodbye beloved Aunt. You were my friend.

Praying for comfort, strength, and protection.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Thanks, Guys. I'm sad, but have a peace. My concern is for my Uncle as he faces his own life's end, how he will carry on without his beloved wife...and for my cousins and my Dad now the last of his clan.

I know your prayers for them: Titus (dad), Bob (uncle) and Jeff, Carol and Robbie (kids)will make a difference.

Thank you for covering them in your prayers.

Prayers sent from Georgia
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!
