Prayers for a Quick Recovery-Update
« on: January 11, 2010, 08:54:00 PM »
Hi All, still kinda new here- but here goes.
I am having my 10th Back Surgery (this will be the fourth in just over a year )this Friday (Jan 15) and could use some prayers for a speedy recovery. It seems to take longer to heal and feel better after each. This last year plus has been pretty long and tiring, been out of work since June 08 and probably  will not be going back to work again. I would appreciate any prayers and good thoughts you can spare in these rough times everyone is going through. Thank you.

I would like to THANK Everyone for the prayers and well wishes. To update you all- surgery was on Jan 20th, been recovering well(ish), implant worked well during and immediately after, since then not too great at all, spent 1 1/2 hr today with two techs from implant co. trying all possible adjustments they could and no go. At this time it looks like when I go back for surgery next Wednesday they are going to remove everything. Lots of sites to remove things from. Kinda down in the dumps right now. Lots of pain and nothing to show for it. Sorry for the sob story, just feel like cRXX right now. Thanks again

Wow. You're getting to know your way around a hospital with all that going on!

Prayers for sure on the 15th and throughout the next weeks and months as you recoup!

Attitude is so critical to healing. Keep the Son in your eyes and I'm betting you'll be doing more than you expect if you expect more than you've had!

Prayers for His guidance on your surgeon's hands and for the PT folks to guide you masterfully!

According to His will..may you know full recovery!

Prayers from Georgia sent
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

Thank you all for your prayers. I am usually pretty stoic about these things (swamp yankee- we don't usually ask for help). This last bout of pain and symptoms have taken their toll on me. So, Thank you all again.

Well, I was all set for the surgery, had been given the time to be there etc. That lasted 2 hrs- they then called back and cancel till next wednesday. Doesn't sound like much, but man it ruins your mind set. So all that to say THANK YOU to all of you again. I can't say that too much

As much as I hate it when it happens to me, there is always some higher reason that things happen the way they do... Praise Him best you can for being in control and try to submit to His will...

And danged if that ain't easier to type than live...but it still works! When I do....He always does!  :)

Keep the Son in your eyes. Get the family to post for us how it goes when it happens...

Let's just keep praying that all these set backs are really stepping stones to something they'd not found that needs attention and in the end it will prove to be the "right thing."

Continued prayers for God's loving Grace to wrap you in the peace that passes all understanding and give you strength to trust in Him!
