Rig Fire
« on: April 22, 2010, 12:27:00 AM »
Hello my brothers and Sisters. It is with a heavy heart that I ask for prayer tonight for the familys of the 11 missing crew members of the rig in the Gulf of Mexico that is still burning tonight. I work for the company who owns this rig. We are all stuned at the suddeness of this event. While we have questions as to what happened we are at the same time praying that they will be found safe. There are 11 familys that are waiting to hear word of their loved ones status. As I wait to see if any of them are friends of mine or someone that I have worked with in the past I continue to pray for the familys for comfort. Please pray for all those who are out there working so hard to get the answers to what happened and for those who were involved in the rescue efforts. Also remember those who made it out alive as they will having to live with this loss the rest of their lives as well. Pray for those who were injured that they will make a full recovery both physically and mentally. Thank you for you prayers and time............

We never stop to think when we complain about gas prices at the pump, what goes into "fill er up".

Prayers indeed for those souls who may have lost their lives, for their families and all those who have been or are involved.

Mining cave ins, oil rig fires... we surely take our energy consumption way too forgranted.

Lord in your Mercy...

Well you have all seen that the rig sank to the bottom of the gulf. It took with it any hopes of finding those 11 people alive. At this time I have 1 friend for sure that worked on this rig and have been unable to get confirmation on his well being. His job would have put him at the site of the explosion. Please keep praying for these families as they are relizing their worst nightmare. Life without????? As an industry we have come a long way in the safety of our crews. Risk is not the excepted standard this day and time. Yet we have this looking us in the face. In the days and weeks to come we will be finding out the whole story. Please continue to pray for God's protection for us all...........Dusty

That's tough news, Dusty.  So many losses... :(

Prayers for the families now, tomorrow and throughout this coming year of adjustments and grief.

Thanksgiving for those spared.

Just an update. I have found out thru the "Grape Vine" that my friend is one of the injured and that he is in a hospital in New Orleans. His has some broken bones and is in a bad way. They are saying that he is going to live but will be a long time healing. Praise God. Thank you for your continued prayers as the families will need them lots. The company is still not releasing the names of those who are missing. Thanks on behalf of all the Transocean family for your prayer support........Dusty

They have called off the search for the missing 11 members of the rig that sank. I feel that they never left the rig and were more then likely kill in the first or second explosion just by nature of their job stations. We will probley never know for sure. I thank you all for keeping them in your prayers and ask that you continue to do so when you think about it. My friend was blown thru a wall or window and is broken up on his whole right side. He is getting better but has a long road to full recovery if ever. I am going to try to get in touch with him the next couple of days. Again thank you for your time and prayers......

One doesn't often hear of the level of devastation on rigs. Surely hope this wasn't the doings of any miscreants.

Prayers will continue. The hole this will leave in so many lives is uncalcuable at least to my small mind.

I won't quickly hit the gas pump without thinking of what the cost is and can be to so many.

Please continue to pray for this oil slick in the gulf as it effects everyone. Also Please don't beleive everything you hear and read about this industry being all bad. I have worked in this industry for 31 years and know first hand where we have come from to where we are today. Pray for wisdom concerning stopping the oil that is leaking from the well. Thanks again for your prayers.
