Prayers for a co-worker
« on: August 26, 2010, 09:42:00 AM »
As I sit here reading this forum I'm waiting to go to the funeral of the wife of my co-worker Rick. Rick's wife had lupus and it destroyed her liver. They had been waiting for a liver transplant for over 8 years. For some reason because of the type of her condition they were continually moved back on the list. She got moved back one time too many. Rick is devastated so prayers for Rick and his family are needed.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Prayers go out to you and your friend Rick and his family.
Genesis 27:3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me [some] venison

ben bow, 8 years?? that's really so sad, one never knows why that happens. people get pushed back for different reasons. for those of us that socoity deems just your normal everyday people,we seem to get put on the back burner. i don't want to sound judgemental, but this kind of thing really rubs me the wrong way. maybe i'm way off base but i've seen this kind of thing before. i would never tell rick my view on this and i know you wouldn't. i'm sorry, but for me this falls right along with abortion. 8 years?? i consider this righteous anger. you guys tell me if i'm wrong. my prayers are with him and his family.

BenBow I will pray for your friend for his loss. We have the best medical treatment in the world by far and yet we read about this more then seem right. Bucksdown, I have a sister waiting on a kidney and she continues to be moved back for reasons we don't understand. We just have to continue to remain faithful that God has reasons that we will never know or even understand if we did know. We are selfish when it comes to our love ones as we should be but our heavenly Father does see the whole picture. When we give the seemly unfair action of moving our love ones down some list we are not focused on things we need to be turning our attention to. At least that is what happens to me. Then I forget to pray for her and others like her who need that touch for our Father and it also takes my focus off other things that allows the devil to gain ground in my life. So I continue to pray for her to receive a kidney and for those who would move someone down a list because of their ability to pay or for what ever reason they use to justify this. God is in control and He doesn’t make mistakes. God bless you and yours..........Dusty

rookie i know your right, GOD does have a plan, and we're not to question him and i'm not. i'ts the human flesh and greed i have a probelm with. i know there are many reasons he allows things to happen and it is for the glory of his kingdom. our reward is not here on earth, heaven is our true goal, i do pray his will be done. we can't do anything to change his will and i would never try. you are right in wahat you said, we sometimes need a brother to remind us GOD is in control. satan does want us to lose focus when things happen in front of us. we will continue to pray for rick and his family. i will also be praying for your sister.

May God keep you in his grace and be there to comfort you in your time of need

Prayers for strength and healing for your friend, Benson.

May God's peace that passes ALL understanding be with him now and through the coming months that he may again know joy and rejoice in His Will.
