Prayers for my family
« on: December 16, 2010, 01:41:00 PM »
I just got a call guys, my Grandpa passed just a little while ago.  I would ask you to pray for my family for peace and comfort.

He lived to a good age and this is actually a blessing to him.  He was suffering with cancer and altizimers.  He is a redeemed child of God, no pain for him now.  He is doing better than we are, but the loss is hard sometimes.

God Bless,
Nathan
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. Psalms 3:3

Prayers of comfort even though you know you will see him again all healthy and filled with the Joy of the Lord, you miss him now.
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Even Jesus cried for his friend, Lazarus, and HE knew he would be raised...

Love is like that...there is supposed to be pain at the loss...mixed with Joy of their salvation.

Prayers for you to know His peace that passes all understanding!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

i do pray for the comfort only GOD can give. it is a great comfort knowing your grandpa is enjoying his heavenly home. i thought of my mom and dad and realized they had lived there lives, and now they are gone. we sometimes take our lives and salvation for granted, beleving there will be a tomorrow, but our lives will be over. i know you are very proud of your grandpa, his memories and example will live within and through you. GOD LOVES YOU AND SO DO WE!
