With the devastation they're showing, folks, I'd bet luxuries like internet and even phone might not be available for folks to check in.

Prayers for those who are lost and those who've lost everything! Natural disasters really bring home the point how puny we really are with all our big technology... we're but dust in Mother Earth's hands when it comes down to it.

Lord, be with those in need and comfort those who've lost. Thank you for our own protection and fortune of health and peace. Amen
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

despite the fact that Aussies and Kiwis are are two different countries and take the piss out of each other every chance we get, we have a special bond and when such a tragedy occurs we feel like it happening to our own!
My heart goes out to all those effected and for the families who have lost loved ones.
I am proud our country jumped straight in and is helping out our kiwi brothers.
