Please pray
« on: March 19, 2011, 10:55:00 PM »
It may be hypocritical of me to ask for your prayers as I choose to find and listen to my god in the woods and water rather than a formal religion but I just got word that my son in kansas was in a head on accident tonight. He is critical and they are doing emergency surgery to stabilize him enough to get him to Witchita to the trauma surgeon.
If you can spare a moment of prayer. I sure would appreciate it
Brad

God is boundless and each man seeks him in his own way. Finding Him is the issue, not how or where I would think.

Hypocritical to ask for blessings on an injured son? I think not.

May God watch over your son and provide his medical team the skill to bring him through. May God's will, always perfect, be sought and achieved, but we pray that His Will is for your son to be returned to health and full function.

Prayers too for peace for you and those who love your son. May God speak to you wherever you are that you have communion with Him that provides the Peace that passes all understanding.

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Prayers for your son and for you. Our God gives endless chances to come to him through his son Jesus.

Religion has no walls but the walls of your heart, prayers are on the way for your son for a complete and quick recovery.

Brad we will pray for God's healing, comfort, and love. Praying that you hear Him everyday in every circumstance. May you learn that you are His son purchased with the blood of Jesus and if you can love your son how much greater does He love you and your son.

Only good I can think of in having a child in danger or hurt is to realize the extent of how much God must've loved us to give his son to die such a hidious and torturous death!

SD, so glad to hear that you're son's prognosis looks good.  Long hard roads make us appreciate the down slopes so much more. May his team direct his rehab and any further operations such that progress continues and you both grow close to Him through this experience!

Just an update and another thank you.
After the emergency surgery Saturday night my son was medivaced up to Wichita too the trauma center there. The trauma surgeons looked him over and decided that further surgery was not needed at this time. They are doing a few more tests to make sure but it looks as if he is done with the surgeries. 8 weeks flat on his back and most likely months of rehab after that. But he will live!

To further complicate all of this. My son and I have not been close in quite some time. A divorce early on in his life and a school year with me 2 years ago that ended badly when he decided he didn't like my rules.
I'm hoping and praying that this will give us both a second chance. I've certainly come to realize that some things just aren't that important that one should hold grudges and ill feelings over. Not only between my son and I but with his mother.
I'm rambling here.....
Just wanted too thank you for the continued prayers. They do work!
