Met wi the oncologist today
« on: June 01, 2011, 03:02:00 PM »
We have the chemo starting on July 6 with the 4-5 day in hospital stay then once a month for 4 treatments. I have to have a heart test to be sure my heart will handle it. Also my blood pressure is high but between the stress of this cancer and work I'm not concerned but they're putting me on a mild blood pressure med. So I have time to go fishing again.   :)   The blood work came back normal which is a good sign. Best of all the tumor that was the size of a soccer ball is down to 2 inches. 8^) Praise God!    :clapper:

Galen.  I wish for you the best.  I hope that everything works out for you and you have a complete and full recovery from this.  I know all too well the struggles, and feel for you.  You will be in my prayers.
Genesis 27:3 Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me [some] venison

Thanks for the updates for us, Galen.

Prayers for you to enjoy the time prior to the treatments, get in the camping/fishing trip and build your body and spiritual strength anew for whatever challenges lie ahead!

YOur faith will make you free and has been a beacon for many of us, especially myself!

Keep the Son in your eyes!

Praise the Lord for your good news.

Hang in there!!!  Took me two full years to feel better... God willing, we'll both be flingin' arrows (or fishin') for a long time!!!

Wish I were closer to all of you so we could meet and shoot together. Thanks for all the prayers!

Careful what you wish for Galen... you might end up with several of us camped on your doorstep!

Well, not in NM in the summer heat, cause you might not let us in and that concrete gets hot enough to fry eggs I'm told...but you might see some of us someday anyway...

One day, we'll all be together... and won't need fishin or huntin license!

Doc it rarely gets up to 100 here and the humidity would only be in the teens. Got to remember were up at 5250'. Now I'm not saying the suns not hot but get in the shade and the temp drops 10+ degrees. This isn't Arizona. There's an empty bed all ready to be used.
