Keep my daughter in your prayers please

Our daughter who turned 18 in June decided that she wants to venture out on her own and we are very concerned for her. Without going into details just pray for her safety and that her family is here for her.

Raising up kids has to be the hardest chore there is in life...and the buggars don't come with a user's guide!  :(

Friend has a very sullen, introverted 18 yr old that is beautiful young woman, but she bottles everything. Heading to college. With her looks and never having dated, never saw love or affection at home, I'm terrified for the pretty child.

But as in nature, we give them the best training we know how, love them where they are, but to quote the ancient mystics, "The only way to hold a butterfly is in an open palm."

May your butterfly venture forth and quickly learn the value of what she's been taught and may God's angels protect her and keep her path straight.

Regardless, love her where she is.

Terry, I hope this finds you with a renewed peace today about your daughter. I too had to go thru something like this with mine. She was raised in a christian home and was not allowed to do lots of thing her friends did. When she went off to collage I was worried sick that she would leave her raising. Those fears were to come true in that she got pregant. My world came crashing down because she had been told for the time she was old enough that this could happen. I thought God why did you do this to me? Well I am happy to report that she is married to the baby's father whom I got to lead to the Lord and who loves my baby girl and my grandson who thinks I hung the moon. God had my back in all of this and has turned this thing around. They pray together every day and are raising their son in a christian home just like I had ask God for. I pray with you and for you and your wife today and every day that your daughter will be safe.......And by the way, the fellows here carryed me thru this dark time in my life as well. I couldn't have made it as good without them lifting me up. So I want to return the favor.......Dusty

My daughter is 20 and I love her, but I would rather raise 10 boys to one girl. I'll be praying for her and your family.

Stone Knife, I have 4 sons also and they were a breeze in comparison.

We adopted her when she was 12 so her past is a big part of her path right now. We helped her reconnect with her birth family. Still she makes her own choices and we continue to pray for her and keep the communication open.

My prayers sent. Sometimes kids have to learn the hard way and you only hope they dont get hurt and you be there when they need you. Sometimes you have to bite your tounge and let things play out. Ive been going through it with my 23 yr old daughter, so far nothing that cant heal over time or be paid to have fixed.

Amen..... I was a whole lot smarter then my parents when I was that age. I now realize that the older I get the smarter my parents get. I remember thinking there was no way all the stuff I was told not to do was going to hurt me. I remember doing some of them and thinking "See I told you it was not going to hurt me" only to learn that the hurt may not come until later, like today!!!!. I feel like a very dumb man now looking back and even more after raising 2 kids and seeing them have this same mind set. I have been reminded a lot of times of what my Mama would tell me. You can sow wild oats son and then pray for a crop failure. The bible said "We will reap what we sow". So if you have sowen good seed into her life you will see a good harvest come forth. Lord please continue to give this family strength and protection. Keep them close to your heart and keep their daughter protected. Amen.......Dusty
