Prayers for Irene's victims and safety for others

Got word from Bernie Dunn that all went better than expected around his place in NC.
We had lots of rain and wind and some power outages here
Friends called: they were evacuated from their vacation @ the Beach areas of NJ/MD and got home safe!
Looks like it could have been much worse, but prayers for those who have suffered material losses and worse.
Lord in your mercy...

She left us around 11AM here on Long Island. Lost power sporadically, but weathered her just fine. There are some downed trees, others have no power, flooded out homes/basements, and damaged property, but by God's grace, she kept getting downgraded.

Many here in E. PA still w/o power. One co-worker had a tree crash on his house AND car... how life can change in a blink.
Prayers continue for those affected...

Vermont is a big mud hole. Lots of homes lost and roads gone. We're fine but have many friends not as lucky. Things look to be tough going for a few weeks until we get some roads rebuilt so relief can get to those in greatest need. Thanks for the prayers and thoughts.

Man, Dave,
Friend from VT used to say the most favorite expression in that state was, "you can't get there from here".
Sounds like that is now a bloody reality! :( So sorry for your friends' losses. Nature's fury is not to be triffled with.
Continued prayers for those involved and needing blessings. Prayers for work to go well to get things pouring in to those in need.

Rather Gnarly, David, to read and try to imagine! :(
Prayers continue for all stranded, have property damage or have lost family.
