A dying friend's family
« on: October 12, 2011, 12:01:00 AM »
Phil, a close friend of mine, may not make it through the night. He is dying of cancer. He is not in pain, but is Peacefully resting at home with his wife and family.  His peace lies not only in the acceptance of his eminent death, but also with his enternity in heaven with his saviour Jesus Christ.

I ask not for prayers for Phil, but I know he would ask, like I am now, for them for his loving wife, Janet, 2 sons and daugthers-in-law, sister, and mother. May they be comforted by His Spirit, the Comforter, in these next few hours.

Amen
But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Nothing else need be said. What a comfort to know that your loved one will see Christ when they close their eyes in what we call death. Father in your way please fill this void in this families life. Thank you for providing comfort to us in these times of great need and thank you for this wittness of your peace in death. Stand with this family and carry them when needed. Thank you for my brother (CoilSpring) posting this here where we can help carry this load as well. Bless him and he blesses others with his wisdom and encouragement. As always we ask this in your Holy name.......Amen.......Dusty

Phil is in the presence of the Lord.

Thank you Gang for your prayers; the family is grieving, but also joyous in their loved one having life eternal. They are comforted by the Holy Spirit through your prayers.

God Bless.

Tim,

Prayers continue for this family.  After all the folks start back into their own busy lives, the one's left behind will start to feel the heavy weight of this loss.

Prayers that others might still remember and in a month or 2, as holidays loom, good folks like yourself will redouble your attention to their grief and bouy them up.
