Another good Dog gone forever
« on: April 10, 2012, 07:15:00 AM »
I had a really good Yellow Lab a few weeks ago. Her name is Holly and I had her for 12 yrs. Some idiot ex son in law had his drawers knotted up and backed over her in my drive way. So what does this have to do with Trad. archery?  Well, I didn't lose a SINGLE ARROW while I had her. And it wasn't because of anything I trained her to do. She just started finding my missed arrows one day. I have seen dogs hunt shed antlers and such, but as a Traditional archer having a dog that finds an errant arrow is a real plus. And it's just good for you to have a good dog with you. I sure miss that old gal.  David

Find a new best friend. It makes the pain a little easier.

Sorry Man, lost my old girl last November, I still tear up some times when I see a pic of her on my computer or think of an adventure we had. Sucks beyond words!

David - sorry to hear of your loss.

One thing is for sure.....I would be having a serious "discussion" with that ex-SIL!

Dogs give all their love each and every day...just in case they get called home too soon.

People would do well to learn from them.

Prayers for you to forgive your Son in Law, idiot or not, and for Peace to replace the current feelings of loss.

Remember all the good times shared.

Keep the Son in your eyes...and heart!
