MId Atlantic Storm Damage
« on: July 01, 2012, 08:21:00 AM »
Haven't had TV since it went digital. Local cable was too little for too much so made the call to just live without.

Read on this internet this AM, about the horrific storm damage in MD, VA, W.VA and Washington area.

That embraces an awful lot of the area where many people from here live and play.

Prayers for all who have lost, suffered or be injured or worse.

Lord in your Mercy...

We had a few deaths from trees falling and electrocution.
I still don't have electricity. I am in my truck, cooling down and charging my phone.

My Dad is 89, so yesterday was busy. He doesn't live in a slum like me, so his power is back on.    :knothead:   I am grateful that I need not worry about him staying cool now.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Killy,

you were one that I was concerned for...glad you're ok and so is your Dad...

Being w/o power in this heat has to be rough, but better'n a hole in your roof or your vehicles smashed.

Bunches of our buds from down your way and the affected area that I am still concered about...   :(

Prayers continue!

There are lots all through the midwest and mid atlantic with no power.  My thoughts are with all of you.
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

Didn't mean to slight anyone in harm's way, Michael, just relyin on the internet that listed VA, MD, W.VA as being hardest hit...

There are down sides to not having TV, but few!

Storms can be a fast and devastating thing, Mother nature is beautiful yet ugly. Downright Bitchy!

Prayers for the families who are affected.  Killie, electricity is overrated, hope you dont have a fish tank.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Never thought of that! I bet the vet wouldn't be able to board them, either. Hmm. Fried guppies on tuna casserole?
Crunch, crunch.

Keep the sense of humor, Killy. You guys must have electricity...well, guess not, you could be posting from your phone like before, huh?  :(

Hope the rest of your week goes well and your Dad stays cool and safe.
