A kind word
« on: July 21, 2012, 06:59:00 PM »
I would like to say my heart goes out to all the victims in colorado.

Im not one to usually ask for help but in the last 2 and half months I have had my house broke into twice and my work van broke into. I am just a little down over the fact that they have pretty much taken most of my goods, tv cameras guns hunting clothes bows checks tools. Right now I am just overwhelmed and could use a little advice on how to get over this. I know other people are worse off than I am and I am just feeling sorry for myself but if you could put in a kind word I would appreciate it..thanks

Man, I would be feeling all kinds of bad stuff if I were in your place. Violated, persecuted, depressed and mad as hell. And that is from just thinking about it, not going through it.

Whatever the case though, what we have to do is regroup, try to find ways to keep it from happening again, and rebuild. I am asking you to let me know how I can help. That would be a healing thing for me to do, for my own heart.

I would feel terrible if I were out hunting this fall while you were trying to buy tools to make your living, basically starting from scratch. I have looked at your profile, and scanned your posts. I see someone whom I would like to help.

I do hope since you mentioned that your checks were stolen and guns, that you have sought and found some legal advice on how to immediately protect yourself from further financial harm.

If they got personal identification stuff, you best be looking up Life Lock and their sort of identity protection first off!!!

Take Kathy's comment at full face value!

If there might be some odds and ends we can all pitch in and ship KS way to help you stand in the gap with some outdoor gear, you need to let us know...

If you get information, Killy, share it PM or otherwise.

When times get tough, people turn to easy solutions by pilage and plunder. Sad... part of the erosion taking place I guess but likely been that way for a long time when things slip and slide.

Victims of burglary DO feel violated and there is true LOSS.  I don't know that there are shortcuts to overcome it when it's happened more than once... it's a grieving process I would think.

I was burglared (?) 2X living in MT...of all places! It took a while to shake it off and to this day there are things I miss them miscreants stole from me!

Let us know if there are items we might be able to share to bring you back to the woods.

Don't try to set traps and lay for them buggars...today's courts will end up hanging YOU!

Prayers go out for you to heal and rise up like the phoenix and come back stronger than ever!

Praying for God's protection, strength, and comfort through this.

Its always hard to comeback from such a violation mentally, but.. what doesn't kill us makes us stronger.

I don't have big clothing but If there is anything else you need, do not be bashful, ask...
Relax,

You'll live longer!

We know, Lonnie.

But we've helped out others who were "thiefed" even on road trips... not saying you'll get a ton of stuff, but it at least gives us all motivation to dig around some...

Keep the faith...  :)
