belly mounted limb makers...have ???

now that the hunting season is winding down, I'm gearing up to make a couple more 3 piece bows.  I seen some beautiful pics of bows on here that have inspired me to want to try to make up a belly mounted one.   a friend of mine try to clone a bw and started having  limb lift off from the riser cause I think he didn't make the wedge thick enough.    most of the ones I've seen have an xtra thick wedge and a steep taper on the wedge.  

any of you that have tried this, how did you make sure you get a good glue line on the steep fade....extra thin lams? what about the glass?    

without a bow of my own to clone....any tips would be appreciated....

or anyone want to part  with a kwyk styk for a few weeks let me know
