Fires in Idaho
« on: August 16, 2013, 10:48:00 PM »
Hey guys,

Just though I'd share my latest ventures. I've been deployed to Boise,Idaho for fire detail. Them folks could use any prayers or thoughts their way. 3 very large fires going. I'm part of the last of 4 twenty man crews that Florida has sent out. Good to know we are pitching in. Also on our flight are crews from GA, Nc, KY, and TN. So lots of help from everywhere.

If you run into a Mississippi crew say hey to John Townsend.  He's on his second deployment to that fire.

Fire that requires such resources are terrifying to read about.  Prayers indeed for those who are its path and depend on areas inflamed to find God's Grace in all this!

Fires in such wondrous Western states right before hunting season are so sad.  The revenue loss for outfitters and such, dreams shattered for those who wait all year.

Prayers for victims and especially courageous firefighters who go amidst those flames!

May God keep watch and preserve you all!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Thanks guys, update both elk and pony complex are mostly contained. We are working the beaver creek complex now. We got to work with a hotshot crew out of Arizona close to Prescott. Wish I had more battery life I would load pictures! When I get back I will have a couple up!
