Prayer request
« on: September 11, 2014, 07:47:00 PM »
My wife has been job hunting for some time now. She's been a stay at home mom for a while now and by all accounts it seems to hurt her resume when she goes to interviews. We've always gotten by but with the boys getting bigger were gonna need her to get a job. I'm just asking for prayer. I know Gods gonna provide but she's taking the rejections hard. I'm praying for strength, and understanding.  And if The Lord sees fit a job. I know He has a plan. Just hard when we can't see it. I know others have more pressing needs so I hate asking but here it is. Thanks y'all.
Love God, Love your neighbor.

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.

If you have cell minutes or long distance time to burn, PM me and I'll send you my phone # to talk, if you think it would help.. I used to help coach folks in this situation,

It's more about HOW one presents the time away from the work world to raise children.

In the end, many choices in hiring are based on an EXCUSE to not hire than a reason to reject.  There are a cadre of people out there today making good money selling HOOEY as "consultants" to companies, telling them all sorts of mystical ways and bogus theories as to whom to hire and whom not.

There is little rhyme or reason! To take such bizarre things to heart as personal rejection is not wise! Most interviews are a shot in the dark.

If I sound a bit "edgy" about it, I am! There are tried and true ways to select good personnel but few learn or employ them preferring to go on Abraba Cadabra ideas.

God's in charge in the end, and to survive job search, we sometimes have to adopt the belief that each rejection is God's way of protecting us from a very ugly situation where we'd spend more time than with our loved ones!

Give your lady my warmest wishes and nudge her to "keep the Son in her eyes!"
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Prayers sent for God's gift of faith and the courage to follow it.

Thanks guys for the prayers and the words of wisdom. She's holding in there and she's got an interview mon morning as it pans out! A buddy of mine just called to set it up!  I'm praying it pans out. The fact that it came outa the blue is encouraging to me and to her, seems to have lifted her spirits a bit.  Please continue to pray for her. I know God always has a plan and I'm hoping this is it. Maybe Lord willing I can give an update Monday with good news! It means a lot to her to know that others are praying for her, so thanks again.
Love God, Love your neighbor.

I guess that was to be "Count NOT on man's ways", but aside from being old, half blind some days, I can't type either!  :)

Glad our thoughts are uplifting to you.

Mike,
My wife lost her job this past May. After 14 yrs of loyal service, excellent work reviews, and many compliments from the patients she checked in, she was told by the Doctor she worked for.... that she was no longer a "fit".

To make a frustrating story short, she is now employed by two doctors that really appreciate her hard work.

Times like this we have to just let God have it and not worry about it (Easy to say,I know). He always has a plan.

I'm praying here for you in Pa.

                                                       Take care,
                                                                 Craig

God blessed us tremendously with this, it's great hours and enough pay to really help us make ends meet! Thanks to all of y'all that kept us in prayer! Once again I can't describe what it means to know voices are sent to our Lord on our behalf. Thank you.
