how to quiet my Hoyt Gamemaster II

Ive been shooting in my basement latley due to the cold temps, and have noticed this bow is kinda loud.
It's a great bow imo, but i'd like to quiet it down a bit. Any suggestions?
Thank you.

I had the same problem. I used the Das string and vibration pads.

They seemed to help.

I had the first generation Gamemaster. I put Sims String Leeches on it (serve them in - they last MUCH longer that way), changed the string to a B-500 (no noticable loss of speed, and it quietened down a bit), put the DAS pads under the limbs and limb bolt washers, and shot a slightly heavier arrow. Very quiet. But it did take a bit of work to get it there. Great bow... just took some additional work.
All the best,
Glenn

increase your brace height a little at a time,it will get quiet, I do this as well as the limb pads and string silencers etc. Shooting heavy arrows helps as well.

I shoot in my basement also. It seems like all my bows are loud down there, but when I get outside they are very quiet. Hap

had the same problem with mine when I first got it. biggest difference was with a new 16 strand b-50 flemish. factory was LOUD!!! put in otter balls and string leeches increased brace height to 7 3/4 (measured from back of shelf) put in neoprene between limbs and riser, installed silencer pads where string contacts limbs and even put on limbsavers on... now it is the quietest bow I have ever shot.even shoots quieter than any wheelie I have shot with. let me know if you have any questions. Oh mine is 60@28 gamemaster II

Hey guys, thanks for all the help. I am ordering the limb pads, and replacing the string. I can't seem to shoot this bow enough, too fun.

I just put more heavy duty wool yarn on the string where it meets the limb. Just slid it thru what a definite difference. It's now as quiet as my Bob Lee!!!

Put thread tape on the limb bolts.
That applies to any take down bow,and it does wonders.
