America's in trouble
« on: September 30, 2015, 09:38:00 PM »
I believe that the way the news is today with Russia strong arming our little president we are in deep trouble. Israel is in trouble. But I know our God is in control. It stinks still. I pray for strong Christian men to take a stand. A stand on our knees before our God and ask on behave of our country to be merciful. Pray that the American people will turn from their wicked ways and back to God. To turn to Jesus !!!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed... the die is cast me fears...

People call on  God only in crisis these days, not in a daily walk...

I pray the next election will return some spine to our great but threatened country. I hope it is not too late to protect our children and their children.

Amen!!! It's really really sad to see the things that are taking place in our country. But like you said, we just have to remember God is in control. Praying for a God fearing Christian to be our next leader.

God gives us choices, and while individuals may still serve Him, our country as a whole have chosen to at least "tolerate" alternates as a political correct avenue.

God lets us make our bed... Makes me wonder how many tears He's shed over what has been allowed to happen to our "one nation under God" When we truly were a nation of believers???

I'm finite, He's omniscient.  So only He knows our future.  We've pushed him out of school, govt and the marketplace... and we expect him to rescue us?

Sad to say, the next election is not going to help us. I fear more of the same as the past 8 years in the White House. The Republicans are shooting themselves in the feet on every turn. Cannot even get a Speaker elected the crazies are running rampant.

What needs to happen is every person up for election gets voted out, both Democrat and Republican, and that will never happen.

We have turned our back on Him and now must pay the consequences. I fear and see war at every turn and we will not win this time unless something drastic happens. Korea at the back door and Russia at the front.

Ya'll do realize that we have spent over a trillion dollars on the last two invasions and many lives. And in so doingthe cost of maintaining a police action by us continues the tab climbing. Russia has only one ally, Syria in which to maintain access to world markets for selling their oil. Let Russia run its economy into the ground in desperation. Good job Mister President in not repeating Chaney/Bush mistake of dragging us into another civil war and burdening our nation some more.  Also, did you notice the Chaney/Bush invasions gained us ten times more enemies in the region as we went from fighting terrorists to fighting millions of "insurgents" as we we became occupiers for all Arab nations to unite to repel the Goliath nation. I'd say it has been a good eight years economically and our gains in the world view of America working collaboratively with other nations in problem-solving.

Apathy is widespread.  We have a system in place where EVERYONE who is registered to vote can cast a ballot, yet turnouts keep getting smaller and smaller.  Here is the socialist State of New York, we saw one of the lowest turnouts during the mayoral and governor's election.  Andrew Cuomo, who ramrodded the SAFE Act through Albany during a midnight session was elected by just 400,000 votes.  If every registered gun owner in NYS would've voted, he would've lost by a margin of 4 to 1.  Yet, they did not utilize this opportunity to VOTE him out and send a message that had the potential to send a tsunami across the country.

There is nothing that can be done when folks just flat out don't care, but get on their soapbox and are Monday morning quarterbacks.

Every God fearing Christian and Jew should be outraged at how the attacks on the faiths have not only continued but are growing.  When Legislators refuse to acknowledge or outright deny that Islamist Terrorism exists and directly targets Christians and Jews, they need to be voted out.  How anyone with a conscience can cast a ballot for them is beyond bizarre.  Morally bankrupt.

I know that God is in our hearts, and the power of the Eucharist exists, I just pray that others can find their way back to Him, and embrace the Holy Spirit, the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.

WEll put, AL, but there is more happening here beyond apathy... hoplessness too!

People have given up hope...they don't believe it matters...that those in urban areas living off the welfare dole have control so what does it matter...?

I can relate to their angst, but we must never quit swinging and trying to right the wrong.

We yet might learn what Daniel learned in the Lion's den!  :(
