Looks like surgery again (tomorrow)
« on: April 25, 2016, 07:04:00 PM »
Well it had appeared that we had the internal bleeding straightened out but now my hema dropped again. Plus I had a ct scan last Thursday and it appears the one tumor has grown enough that it is restricting the left kidney. I'm supposed to hear from the surgeon tomorrow to get the surgery scheduled. May be a blessing mixed in because the surgeon will try to remove the colostomy at the same time. Still feeling good and God is faithfully keeping my spirit up.

OK I heard from the surgeon and she and the other Drs have decided on a plan. Tomorrow morning I go in to get a tube to drain the blocked kidney then if the numbers for the kidney function come down she will do the surgery May 4th. How much she will do depends on how my body is handling the surgery. God is so good and His love never fails.

The procedure for the kidney drain went well and the care has been fantastic as usual. God's presence through it all has been so enjoyable.  He is so enjoyable to be around and thats a major understatement

I was meditating on God's armor and the image of an Abrams tank against an ant popped into my head. Had a 5 minute God given joy laugh.  Then I was reading "Your Word, Lord, which is truth, contains all the weapons of my warfare, which are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds."
And the vision of a mountain being shook and falling into the sea came to mind and I sat quietly in awe of God.

Galen, God is Good all of the time, and all of the time God is Good. I am praying for you.

Praise God I'm back home. Meet with the surgeon on Monday to see when we go to surgery. I'm on Prednisone for the kidney inflammation and it appears to be working. I'm a bit wound up from it but nothing too bad.

Go in tomorrow for surgery. My surgeon has multiple things she will attempt to do but how much gets done depends on how well my body is handling it. She doesn't want to do a complete cleaning as it took 7 hours the last time and she feels thats too much. They've had to bring me back a couple of times and she doesn't want me or her to go through that. So I'm laying my fear and concerns on Jesus and enjoying the peace He is replacing it with.

Peace be with you, dear friend.  Great attitude. Sharp surgeon... get as much done as she sees fit and trust in the GREAT PHYSICIAN as you've been doing.

I admit, at times I envy (bad emotion I know) your peace, but am grateful you have it!

Keep the Son in your eyes Galen!
