Prayer for Family
« on: October 31, 2017, 03:23:00 PM »
Gentlemen, I sure would appreciate if you lifted my Wife and Son up in your prayers over the next couple of weeks. For there safety and well being. I'll be away for a few days and don't want my Wife to have worry or deal with anything that I would normally take care of. She's a hard worker and a very good mom and doesn't hold me back from hunting. She's Perfect. My son is a good boy but can be a handful.

Also if you have time pray for some good weather where I will be.

Thank you

Gilbert

Prayers up Gilbert and know how ya feel!
I as well worry about my three little ones when I'm out in the woods enjoying God's Creation while my wife is home tending to the girls .
I seldom go on a hunting trip and away but I do worry even when it's just a day trip or hunt!
May the peace of God be with you while His Mercy's are with your family while you are gone.
God Bless Ya and your family!

Lord has always taken good care of you and yours before on your sojourns, as I'm sure he will do this go around..

But it's a pleasure to carry your concerns to Him in your absence, as I know you will do wherever you are.

Keep the Son in your eyes...

YOUR boy a handful?  I can hardly imagine        :saywhat:

Gentlemen, Im back and just want to say Thank You!

As Always the Lord Is Good! Had a great time, weather was good and no problems on the home front.

Just a little story about the trip: This was not a bow hunting trip, I did take my bow but it did not get used.
I learned a long time ago that God can take some of the simplest things to do the greatest things in someone else life. I used to carry my bible in my truck and one day a friend of mine saw it and asked me about it. I told him it was my bible and that I try and take it everywhere with me so I can read. I learned later on that my bible inspired him to get saved. We should always be aware of our actions around people.

Any way, this was my second trip to Kodiak with same group of friends and I'm not sure all are saved but they are a good group of guys. But last year they saw me saying grace and asked if I would say grace at every meal and I did.

This year I said grace over one nice meal. But what's interesting is one of my partners told me, he wanted to tell me something but he didn't get around to telling me anything until following day.
We just got off the boat and loading up our packs and before we got started on our hunt I just felt like we should pray. So I asked if he wouldn't mind if we prayed. So I prayed. After the prayer he told me "Gilbert I wanted to tell you that I was Saved a couple of days ago" I congratulated him of course and we went on our way. I just thought that was neat. Don't know if I had anything to do with that but I was happy that he shared that with me. Just a good moment I thought I would share.

If you would like some pics send me your email.

Thanks again

Gilbert

Gilbert in our Church or our Gym before we built our Church there was this Big set all words written on poster board or a cut out of words that said this "Each One Reach One"!
Always neat to hear how another came to know Christ and talk about their testimony and Salvation through Jesus Christ alone.
As John 3:v3  reads "Verily, verily,I say unto thee,Except a man be born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Brother you planted a seed with you saying Grace and keeping your bible in your vehicle and now that seed is getting watered.
Now it's time to watch it grow and he may someday plant a seed as well and the saying "Each One Reach One" will continue to grow if we do as asked by Christ !
Thanks for keeping us updated on your trip!

Contrats on a good hunt and home safely and home front safe!

We need not know if our actions bring someone to Christ or not, but we know we're called to try.

Planting seeds and letting God work in His own time is far more successful then all the chest thumping ever done!

Kudos.

As some of you will read, I lost my friend of many years, Galen and just got notice... he'd gone quiet but I knew only that he was struggling and was sure something like this had happened...

It weighs on me as I selfishly will miss his friendship, but he was a man of strong faith and witnessed to us all by his strength and peace in all these cancer trials, lo these 10 yrs I believe and never gave up hope or being positive.  If I could be such as he...

Kudos to you, Gilbert for living the word as well... Welcome home...

Thanks Dave, your words are always thoughtful and encouraging.

Sorry to hear about your friend, but it sounds like he's home.
