I was watching another program about hunting Africa.  This one was Limbsavers Outdoors.  They had their host hunting in Namibia.  Once again they showed a close up of a picture of a lion with the narrator saying, "you just never know what you're going to run into in Africa."  Funny, the PH wasn't carrying a weapon of any sort.  Maybe he isn't scared of lions eating his hunters or maybe....just maybe he doesn't have lions running around his game ranch eating all his profits...since you can't hunt them there anyway!  This one wasn't as blatant as the National Whitetail Association program I reported about a few months ago where they actually made up a story about having to make a detour in their stalk to keep from bumping into the lions, but the implication was the same.  I emailed them, and of course, never got a reply.  Why can't they just give a true depiction, and stop trying to make it something it is not!!!!  Very frustrating.

A true dipiction would make a boring segment and they would lose ratings.  Most people that watch those shows have no idea of the true details.

Doc,  Have you ever saw the old Howard Hill movies with the narrator...man eating this, man killing that.. Howz about that turtle one where the narrator says it outweighed that kid by a hundred # or better...or that bird in the tree that sure lQQked ferocious to me....

You can bet that you won't see anything other than the real thing with this one.  I am as frustrated as anyone about all the garbage that makes it into these videos.  I hope that our video is at least a small breath of fresh air for those of us that are tired of producers trying to trick us.

Doc you nailed it.  no fake BS on this one.  i'm back from texas and giving the new camera a workout. as soon as i can get some footage on dvd i will send you the low light results. let's just say so far i am very happy with the performance of this video camera.

vermonster you can bet there won't be any fake crap on this video, just the way it really is. and if Doc misses or makes a bad shot (hope this don't happen) you will get all the details.

Maybe I need to take you instead of Rob.  Maybe I can keep you from showing ALL my misses   :D .  Truly, we would love to do more hunts with folks off this site.  We plan on setting up several in the future with reduced rates from the outfitters (when we can get them).  We want as many folks from here to be involved as we can.  This trip is going to made up of several folks who are regulars here.  It should be good!!!!

Hey everybody,
If you haven't read Neil Summers post on this forum under "SA bowhunting being banned" thread, do yourself a favor and read it!
The people of South Africa are certainly not buying the theatrics of the "hunting industry."  The bad deeds of a few are costing all of us opportunities to hunt.  
This makes it even more imperative that we do "the right thing" and act as good bowhunting stewards when we carry our bows to other countries.  One more reason we will be keeping it real!  Brady

My 4, 6, and 7 year olds will also be watching.  That's what makes it so important to do it the "right way."  I want my own children to be able to watch the video and be proud of what they see.
