Elephant hide/leather?
« on: April 24, 2010, 06:45:00 AM »
I hope it is alright to post this here. I am looking for a piece of elephant hide that is large enough to make a sheath. I'm working on a project knife with an African theme and thought this would be nice for a sheath. Any help is greatly appreciated.

i had some limited quantities that i used for St Judes last year but don't have enough left for a hole sheath but maybe a small piece that you could work in some how/ i have some Ostrich leather that i killed couple years ago. Would that work?

you'd prob have to put a thin piece of veg tanned leather under it so you could wet form it nicely
There is more to the Hunt.. then the Horns
