Spine value for wooden arrows.

Hi guys,
I need some advice about the spine value I need for wooden arrows for a 30# turkish horse bow at a pull of approximately 27". I'm thinking of a 5/16 shaft with 100 gr field point, 5" shield feathers and a spine value of 35# to 40#. Will this work?

If you're using fingers, not a thumbring, I'd try that spine. Usually there's no shelf cut in, so the arrow has to go around alot of riser. Leave the shafts an inch or 2 (2.5 to 5cm) longer
so you can shorten if you need more spine.

If you have 35-40 AMO shafts start with them 30 inches long-trim back if they act weak...but with 100grain points that will probably be pretty close. If you prefer to shoot shorter arrows closer to your actual draw length you will need more limber arrows or heavier points.-As always this is a shoot and see endeavor-everyone has  their own idiosyncratic release and shafting needs will vary.
