Nock placement for 3 under
« on: December 25, 2007, 07:35:00 AM »
If I shoot 3 under should I raise the nock on my bow? My bow is a little bit louder now that I'm shooting three under, but I like the accuracy. I figure if I move the nock up 1/4", my middle finger would be closer to the center of the string. What do you think?

I found it easier just to bare shaft tune it for three under. My nock point started at 1/8 then ended at 3/8+, 1/2 short.. The arrows fly good and group together. I shoot my widow that way,a nd also a new target bow. both nock sets are different, so ?

When I first went to three under I did raise my nock point due to Flight issues (not noise).
Now that I've been shooting this way for about 6 months I'm tuning my arrows rather than the bow.
For noise I tend to play with the brace hight and that has worked for me.
I think that if you have to raise the nocking point to much,it's an arrow tuning issue,,not a bow tuning issue.
Who said this stuff was simple huh!!
