Who made the Brownings?
« on: December 26, 2007, 12:27:00 PM »
Any idea who made the old browning bows, like the Cobra 2?  Have a perfect one but can;t figure out who made it. My guess is Howatt, but...?

Thanks, BAxter

Some of the old brownings looked just like Wings, there is a guy that i know that collects Wing bows he has some Brownings also and says that they are Wings.

The lazy do not roast any game,
but the diligent feed on the riches of the hunt.

I know Harry Drake was an influential designer/builder with them.

All of the above,Howatt,Wing ie possibley head ski at the time. And yes old Harry did play a roll in the rucurve market at Browning. As for what years whom made what...it would take me years to find the notes. But possible Wing and Howatt were late 60's.Not possitive but I think the 1968-1969 Brownings were built by Wing ie possible head ski bows.bd
