New Morrison ILF
« on: December 27, 2007, 08:33:00 PM »
Found this combo on Bob's in-stock page.  The riser is 18" long, Coco with a Macasser flair, the limbs are Morrison's Cheyenne B limbs, 50# @ 28".  They make a 58" bow.  The limbs are the new foam-core with glass back and belly, and they shoot just awesome.  Very quiet, very smooth, and very quick.  The weight is adjustable from around 45# @ 28" to the 50#'s.  Makes it very easy to tweak and tune to get great arrow flight.

The thing that stands out the most to me is how quiet this bow is.  I like this bow alot!

Now to see how the ILF longbow limbs test out, and I'll be good to go!  LOL!http://www.morrisonarchery.com/html/news.html

Thanks for looking!

Kirk

The limb cores are a hi-tech material I know very little about.  Bob had the stuff made up because he had trouble finding what he wanted.  I believe that most olympic limbs are using foam cores now.  My vague understanding is that it's small bubbles in some sort of medium.  It is light in weight, very consistent, and durable.  These limbs are very smooth and stable, and I believe the lighter weight increases speed.

The weight is adjusted simply by turning the limb bolts in or out.  This changes the limb pad angle, and therefore the weight.

With the bolts tightened all the way down, the bow is at full weight.  By turning the bolts out, you can adjust weight and tiller.  It's about 1 lb. per full turn, with a max of 5 turns.  A very cool thing.
