Bog Oak; A tree that died, some years ago due to natural causes, some of these trees died several thousand years ago. When they died they fell in to a Peat Bog, the natural Tannins released by the tree, and the iron in the water started the natural process of fossilization. When Clarence from Skullworks told me of this wood it sounded like something that needed to be on an armguard, so here is the first of what will probably be many!!!
Accompanying this beautiful knife is a rawhide bear, dyed to a light shade of black.
The Leather is a distressed brown, when I saw this piece, it reminded me of my old faded Predator Brown Camo, unfortunately when cut into the smaller pieces it is impossible to see.
As with all the products that I make, all work and sewing is done by hand to insure the highest quality, and it truly makes each piece a unique and one of a kind item!!!
