SOLD! more soon!!!snakeskins: diamondback ,prairie, timber, bull
« on: February 01, 2011, 12:11:00 PM »
Greetings, new here! First Associate listing. I'll start with a supply of super high quality skins ready to go.
Tanned, sparkling clean, straight, beautiful. (I have lesser quality -dried/oily- also but will stick to these for now!)
Diamondbacks (western) - 50" to 60"....44.00 per one
prairie rattler - 30"to 33" ....45.00 for two.
bull snake - I have three  - 48"...44.00
                             49"...40.00 (small tear, repairable)
43"...40.00 (I just did a pair of ILF limbs with one 42 inch skin. See pictures.
I have ONE huge Timber rattler right now, complete with head and rattle. Suitable for hanging on a wall. 61" long, 7 inches wide at most.   Sorry, price is HIGH if you want it,85.00.
Much more coming this spring, I should have some copperheads, loads of rattlers including some more timbers at a better price, but I get a lot of odd skins here and there. Rat snakes, boas, pythons of different kinds, sea snakes from Thailand, did a Gaboon viper on one guys limbs for an African hunt...incredible. always something different.
3.00 to ship in US.

Hi David, You say they are tanned. Are they like leather? if so how do you apply them. I always used air dried skins. They look good no matter. I will be looking for some of them red rats. let me know when you get some.

No, almost the same as dried. I've always used tanned on laminated limbs. The only difference I have ever seen is that the scales are easier to remove on dried skins than tanned. Most skins this size are all rather thin. Bigger, thicker skins like python, boa, anaconda, some sea snakes, etc. are thicker like a thin leather, but still applicable. I use different techniques for certain types of skins and have tools not many have to apply them. Home application is just as good, just takes longer.
