New style of spliced veneer

Guess you can say I'm always looking for something different and unusual.

Thought I'd try a new type splicing. These are Brown Birdseye Maple and Walnut:

   

Here is a close up of the splice:

   

For the something unusual, I ran a cross a piece of Quilted Poplar about a week ago and thought "what the heck, folks are always wanting something different".

   

I took a scrap piece of the Quilted Poplar and dyed it with a couple different colors.

Gray dye:

   

Golden Brown dye:

   

I'll have both of these up on my site in a little while.

Troy, I love the splicing you did on those veneers! Truly a great look!
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.
