Happy New Year to me.... ACS/CX
« on: January 04, 2008, 12:19:00 AM »
Its Here at last. First a little UPS story. Shortley after lunch i see the UPS truck, I hall butt to the office because i know what is waiting for me. I get there and no package. I jump back in the truck and find the UPs guy at Subway eating lunch, i walk in and ask if he had been to my office, he said are you Rick, yes i said and he says i could not find your package on my truck it says here that they loaded it but i cant find it. I thought i was going to be sick right there.

He makes some calls, I make some calls and we find it on the wrong truck in a differant town about 1 hour away.

I jump in my truck and 1 hour later here is what i have.

64" 51# @ my 30" draw, Cocobolo riser, havent got it tuned yet but was out putting some arrows through it to set the brase hight, started at 7" when i hit 7 1/2" it went silent, i am amazed at how quiet it is.

Everytime I see one of these I want one more and more...where's the drooling smiley when you need it...Maybe my kids don't need college after all.  Nah, just kiddin, but those are some for sure sweet lookin bows and I'll just keep saving my quarters for another 40 years or so and I should be ok.  Congrats on a beauty of a bow

Is this the same riser as Vermonster13 has on his post? The grip doesn't look set back as far...or is it just me?  Great looking bow! I love those 64" ACS-CXs for shooters.

No this one is a 14" riser, mine is a 16" and has finger grooves and the grip is actually a little lower.

Got home today after baptising my god daughter and the weather was finely clear enough to start the tuning process. Striped some feathers off my 2216's that i shoot through my widow, which will spit an arrow mind you, Had to drop from 150 gr up front to 125 and it still shows week     so i cleaned up some 2219's i had in the corrner, through on some 150 gr tips and looks nice, then in comes the weather right when im making progress. Will have to wait for another day.
