Opening Day Doe in Texas
« on: December 02, 2005, 07:15:00 PM »
Here are the pics of the doe I took with my Blacktail in Texas. For the story go to the thread GONE TO TEXAS.

The last photo is of the arrowhead I found at her head when I walked up to her in the dry stream bed.

Thanks everyone. The hole you see is the entrance. Complete passthru 160 gr. Ace Express on a Sweetland shaft. Heart and lungs were hamburger, LOL. Sharpened the head and used the same arrow to kill another doe on Thanksgiving.

Randy,

I cannot say enough about this Blacktail. May have to order another one LOL. What does that make, 4 deer this bow has accounted for?

Yea Curt, It was hot,80 deg. I have never seen it that warm in Texas that time of year. Normally the rut is starting at least by Thanksgiving. The entire time I was home I did not see one buck chasing a doe. Strange year. Hopefully better next year.

I seem to remember a couple of guys finding an arrowhead near a deer they had shot also.
