First sitka blacktail deer
« on: October 24, 2006, 01:56:00 PM »
I finally made it to Alaska, after about 30 years of dreaming.  I was invited to join a group led by Terry Receveur and we bowhunted near Kodaik Island for over a week.  I was blessed with one final opportunity, after missing several much easier opportunities earlier in the week, in the last few minutes of the hunt and made the best shot of my life.  I couldn't have been happier with this buck, shot with my faithful Brackenbury Drifter with 50# limbs, a carbon arrow borrowed from PA Bones and a Snuffer head...

Awesome! What a beautiful buck. Congrats Jeff, what a dream come true! T

Very nice. That's one of my dream hunts right there.
