Camera Case for hunting
« on: September 23, 2006, 07:32:00 PM »
I have a Canon S3 and need to buy a good case for it. I want to take it hunting with me. I'd like it to be handy, maybe on a belt loop. It would be nice if it was waterproof. Any suggestions?
Thanks, Robert

Mine's not waterproof, but this is what I use.  I made a case out of some scrap leather that hangs around my neck, sort of a pouch type thing.  I made the strap wide so it doesn't dig into my neck.  Very comfortable and don't even know it's there.
The reason I came up with this type of case is that it keeps the camera warm and helps to prevent condensation problems when brought back inside, yet keeps the camera very handy at all times.

Here is a picture of mine.  Not fancy leather work - just functional.
