Looking for a digital camera for under $200. This was recommended. ????

the w50's are very nice. I really like that sony kept the viewfinder on that series plus they run off a li-ion batt. you should check out the Canon SD600. you can find it in the low 200's on sale sometimes. im a big canon fan.

Snag,  I bought a W50 back in July and have really liked it - very easy to use and good image quality. I think it is a very good camera for the money.  Its been knocked around a little bit by yours truly (in a pack etc...) and no problems yet, seems to be a pretty solid little bugger.  Also, I was amazed at how long the battery lasts.
If you could swing a little more money, I would buy an Olympus Stylus 720...  I have one to use at work and THEY ARE BULLETPROOF. Waterproof, shockproof and all kinds of otherproof with great pic quality and a superfine macro make them an ideal point and shoot to go anywhere with you.  I would check them both out, but I can give you two thumbs up on both cameras.
Hope this helps
