Great job Mike!
Just ordered 2 Helle blades (odel) three days ago and planned a handle design similar to yours.

Again, very nice!

Thanks again, everyone!
Caveman, after I glued the wood together to make the handle block, I drilled a hole in the end of it with my drill press. I was lucky enough to have a bit on hand that is real long and a perfect fit. In fact, after I drilled the hole, I had to take the tang and rotate it in the hole with my hand just to make it go in. It's pretty snug.  I had to carve little grooves in the top of the block with my dremel tool to allow for the flare in the tang. Then I filled the hole with epoxy and stuck it together.

Thanks for responding, bodork!  I guess I'll have to order some blades.  Larry

Your order is on the way and you should see it Monday or Tuesday. Thanks.
Happy Trails,
Chad
