Amazing new camera!

Read about it in a mens outdoor mag.  Supposed to be out at the end of the year.  Supposedly takes video with quality better than Imax and the stills you can grab form the video frames produce pics better than (dont quote me on this #)a 15 megapixel SLR. And they start at $3000.  Anybody else heard anything about it?

take a look at the Canon 7D.. my son is working with one now and the results he gets with this camera are awesome. I use a Canon XH-A1 and filming in HD, this new 7D can produce superior footage. talk about the best of both worlds...

If I didn't have 20k tied up in my Nikon gear I would be giving serious thoughts to switching to canon.
