Canon XTi's
« on: March 17, 2010, 11:15:00 AM »
My wife hates the fact that you have to look thru the eyepiece. She wants to just watch thru the 2.5" pannel on the back of the camera. Did they with later ones have that option? Can I toggle something in the camera and do it with either of mine ? Ihave 8.1Mp and 12.?mp ones...I thought the 12Mp one you could.

My Canon T1i has live view, so its like a point and shoot.
It takes some practice to learn the viewfinder but I'm kinda used to it now.
Buy her a nice P&S and keep the XTi for yourself.  :)

That's good advice on getting her the point and shoot.  Just make sure it's a Canon too so you both have compatibility with the controls and features.  That way, she'll already be familiar with it and can get better with the XTi and not even realize it.  Same goes when it's time to get cameras for kids or grandkids.

I've done it and it works!
