LCD replacement...FYI
« on: July 14, 2010, 07:33:00 AM »
Have a little Olympus FE-210 that I use to take "Happy Snaps" at shoots, hunts and walks in the woods. I sat on it and cracked the screen so I thought it was toast. Looked on **** to find a replacement as I like the camera and found replacement screens for about 20 bucks. 10 very tiny screws and 20 min. of cussing my big fat fingers, unplug the old wire strip, plug in the new, and the camera is back in action. Figured that I would pass this along as an option as I know other guys that have trashed a few cameras for the same reason.
Bowhunting is "KILL and EAT" not "Catch and Release".....Semper Fi!

That's an advantage of homebrew trail cameras, you have the ability to replace screens, battery compartments, flash assemblies, etc.  People don't realize how easy it is to repair most cameras.
