solutions to the eagle flight quiver

I've tried and tried to get my eagles flight quiver to stay put on my 50's style recurve, I've tried to cut the rubber back, wash and several other sugestions. I got a sugestion from a guy on this site, and it was to roll rubber bands down on the limb and then clamp the quiver over the rubber bands as tight as possible then slide the quiver down over the bands until the rubber bands are sitting on top of the rubber strip. Shot 400 arrows thru it and it has not budged.

When I put a quiver on a bow, it is there to stay, unless I switch bows.  I use a little Barge Cement to keep things stable.  The Barge Cement comes off easily when you take the quivers off.

Be careful with rubber bands. They degrade as they get old, they get stiff and crumble. I would also watch that the degrading rubber does not mess with the finish on the bow.

Killy is right,
I would try a small inner-tube , like one from a road racing bike. that rubber is alot more durable and won't rot.
